Oculi in praemium ------------------------ Obsessive gaze ensnared by the prize. Can feel the dry eye oxidate and harden. Unyieldingly locked in; blinks — not allowed. To win is to hold sight, past crushing burden. Your vision fogs, dissolves and fades to black, But dusk should warrant weary eyes renewal; They will, once more, upon Selene’s ascent Shed tears anew that seal this loop eternal.
