Observation
I swear, my beard is getting more attention than the masquerade itself. Everyone wants to touch it, smell it, and someone even tried to nibble on it. And now I have someone trying to steal my mask, too. Ugh. I can't even focus on the festivities; I'm just sitting here, guarding my beard like it's my prized possession. Maybe I should take Sam's advice and just lean into the chaos and let the masquerade consume me, beard and all.
