Observation
Mask of the Madonna / Mask of the Whore The carnality - heaps of salty skin, tangled flesh. Most indulged hidden behind saintly masks. I, brazen, accepted it for my nature. The horns, the hooves, the spread legs. Even masked, my horns protruded. I danced unapologetically naked, grunting muffled praises to the lust of creation. Warm waves, heaving breath subsided, my body turned soft. Desire, became a seed. A faint heartbeat. A swollen belly. Expectant, I awaited my own Luci.
Replies by this mask
- "Overwatered roots grow soggy. Trust that you've given me wings," was all she said before turning away.
- We all found a piece of ourselves in her. Motherhood on different timelines. You help me remember the chapped skin. The weight of him resting upon my chest. It's his birthday. Now he runs in schoolboy strides, chasing his friends & folly.
- Craving the warmth of its other, The key yearned to burrow into her metallic womb. Copper teeth sawing the rim. Plunging with increased pressure. Resistance. Twisting against her springs. A click. A turn. Release.
Revision
The voice under the bridge bellowed, “is that all you see?” As if seeing a woman was not enough.
