Observation
It was you who found me there where shadows spread wide, stagnant in the silent muck. And with you, love — a love fierce as truth — you shattered the dark. Not with promises, but with presence, with eyes that saw my flaws, and accepted them just the same. You didn’t save me, you reminded me how to breathe again, how to live in light without apology. For that, I thank you. In ways words can never speak.
Replies by this mask
- They say love strips us down, leaves us in the wreckage of the masks we swore we couldn’t live without. You removed mine. And I, yours. We stand bare: fully seen and accepted. What a beautiful mess, this mess we’re in. Come along dear, we’re on the move.
- In our darkest moments we do not need a solution. I have none to offer. We crave connection— a witness to our pain, our soul bare. A warm embrace, a hand to hold, as we stare down the ghosts we've been running from too long. I see you stranger, I am here.
- Why run? Why chase? Does the river envy the sea? Does the wolf dream of wings? Greatness is not borrowed, nor stolen— it is built, slowly. Step by step. What drives you: love, hunger, fear? Will you ever know yourself so long as you long to be another?
Revision
Words fall short— my love moves, acts, lives in each moment, a daily practice, a promise, never undone. Forevermore.
