Observation
"Looking" - a moment of critical observation before the Hero's leap. At the threshold, tenderly poised, within as without. What drives them forward? Possibility? Magic? Naiveté? To save the world—or themselves? Or perhaps, in saving themselves, they save the world? Before: lies the wild edge of the unknown. Beyond: raw vitality of existence, riverbeds of grief, natural wonders of being-ness. The Hero steadies their step, a memory returns -- A time when it felt like there was nothing but beauty ahead...

- Why…when we look do we tend to see ourselves? Human empathy or narcissism? Or that undeniable longing to be revealed, to be truly seen? I see eggs, mutated fertility sprawled across the canvas. I see your longing for a child, I see the absence of mine.
