Observation
We made a world— cut it from bone, stitched it with nerve, fed it our breath & called it beautiful. We watched. Oh, how we watched. Sucked the marrow, chewed the sinew spoke his name— as if it was ours to keep. Clapped as he climbed. Laughed when he fell. Creator, commoner, it made no difference— the silence took us all just the same. The hand makes. The hand sings. Spills color like blood— like birth. Like the last light before the world goes dark. a prayer, unraveling, no one is left to see.
