Observation
Part paradise, part nightmare, part fable. Bodies twist in a chaotic ballet of indulgence, conflict, and ritual, their faces masked in deception and self-preservation. A great tree looms, bearing symbols of knowledge and control, as society teeters between ecstasy and collapse. Nature and facade blur, revealing a world both primal and corrupted. Are these beings liberated or lost? The dream feels ready to shatter—its reality rushing back in. It’s a society in freefall, grasping at symbols of meaning.

- To see without judgement is important. But what is interesting is the ones without masks seem to be truly the most free. You can see emotions -- happiness, sadness, wonder, delight. The masked ones are hidden and find a way to lay judgement.
- The masks are an illusion. If you look at one person and one mask, there is a particular story in that moment. As you zoom out, you see a different story develop. Others watching you. Others gazing through the veneer of that mask.
- Why are these beings even adorning a mask? The two characters in the center have the most intimacy and connection. The mask only creates barriers. Is shedding the mask that end game? Is the masquerade a trap?
Revision
Perhaps this world is not so distant from our own; perhaps it is simply a reflection of what we refuse to see in ourselves.
