Observation
A beating heart. Eyes wide open. A breathtaking smile. This new soul awakens. In an ever-changing world. She thinks to herself: Who am I? What am I? Why here? Why now? Will you protect me? Or, will I protect you?

- What emotions prompted this Observation? Art lies in the eyes of the beholder. Each look at art -- or just a piece of art -- elicits a response: whether a feeling of neutrality (i.e., meh), anger, whim, curiosity. What did you feel here? What did you see?
- Why do you think sharing less is better? As someone who struggles with demons, I find those demons get more pronounced, more demonic the more I hold them in. Feeding their darkness.
- My partner and I think about this almost daily. There is no right answer other than hope. Hope that we can create a safe world for them. It's not perfect and we cannot ignore the ills of the world, but we can educate, empower, and uplift. It's all we have.
Revision
As a parent, I try to protect my kids from the ills of the world. The truth is: they are the protectors. They keep me alive.
