through the mask, into a mirror we drank to tomorrow and we drink for yesterday a garden of earthly delights or a jungle of restless desire we immerse ourselves in the mess as we seek meaning we want to live, we want to give been to hollywood, been to redwood sailed on a strange boat, blown by a strange wind we feel afloat while we are ashore we may lose, and we may win though we will never be here again so we light ourselves up, in pleasure and in pain and burn, burn, burn with and under the stars
